This Is a Photography Workshop, Not a Tour

Led by Justin Mott, this small group workshop is designed for photographers who want to improve with more intention, structure, and clarity.

Each day combines real-world shooting, practical assignments, and direct feedback to help you build stronger habits and make better visual decisions.

Whether you are an amateur photographer or have years of experience, the goal is the same. To help you observe more carefully, shoot with more purpose, and leave with skills that carry forward into your future work.

This is hands-on, direct, and focused on real improvement.

A Small Group Workshop with Real Access and Real Feedback

I lead all photographic instruction, assignments, and daily reviews throughout the workshop, drawing from over two decades of editorial and documentary experience.

Quỳnh Anh Mott, a Hanoi native, provides local insight, cultural context, and logistical support, helping you engage more meaningfully with the places and people you photograph.

With only five participants, the group stays intentionally small. This allows for focused shooting, individual feedback, and a more personal learning experience.

Real Feedback from Past Participants

Brian James , Australia

"I completed this workshop Dec2023 with my adult son. I can comfortably say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Meticulously organised, seamlessly executed, and thoroughly enjoyable. T

he tasks completed and the feedback sessions highlight Justin’s natural teaching prowess, and builds skills and confidence in the photographer. If you enjoy photography, want to upskill and be exposed to the mayhem of northern Vietnam, do it. Highly recommended. "

Sue Wilson, USA

"Justin is a professional, genuine and fun photographer. His critique and suggestions for my photos were very insightful. He did not just tell me when he liked a photo but went on to encourage me as to how it could be even better.

Justin was truly interested in my photo experience and used that to determine my project for the workshop as well as encouraging me to try future photography endeavors. I would recommend anyone interested in learning from a professional photographer to choose Justin. "

Danny Rivera, USA

"This was my second workshop with Justin, and it pushed me even further than the first. The experience in Vietnam felt deeper, and the way the workshop is structured makes you slow down and really think about why you’re making images.

The assignments are intentional, the feedback is direct, and you’re constantly challenged to improve. I left with stronger work, a clearer voice, and a better understanding of how I approach photography.
